Film Screenings at UWI Faculty of Culture, Creative and Performing Arts – Films by Barbadian Alan Springer and Guadeloupe’s Chantelea Commin – Discussion with film makers will follow (7 – 9 pm) 

 

Friday, March 8, 2024 - CaFA Fair Barbados, Opens at 10 am – The Bajan Geek Sheet, a review of Comic Book, Anime, Sci-Fi, Gaming Fantasy, Cosplay Events & Activities for 2024, 5.00 -8.00; Ends at 8 pm.  

 

Saturday, March 9, 2024 - CaFA Fair Barbados, Opens at 10 am – Printmaking workshop with Moses Ros (12 - 2.00 pm), Paint & Sip with S. Ross Browne (3- 5 pm) DJ Kryo Stazis and special musical guests, 6-8 pm) Ends at 8 pm.  

 

Sunday, March 10, 2024 - CaFA Fair Barbados, Opens at 10 am - 2 Presentations (1.30 – 3.00 & 3.30 - 5.00 pm), Ends at 6 pm 

The 1st presentation: Guadeloupe Artist Jocelyn Akwaba Matignon on the link between archeology and art creation; the Native American influence on Caribbean life and art. The 2nd presentation will be a panel discussion “Artists for Change: Supporting Climate Change Awareness in the Caribbean” with the spotlight on initiatives to address the current environmental, social, and economic impact of climate change in a most vulnerable part of the world. This panel will include UK’s David Emmanuel Noel (via video); Dominican artist & curator Carla Armour; CaFA Director Anderson Pilgrim; Richard Marshall, Director R2RP – PMO’s office.
